The Samsung Galaxy Nexus – and therefore Ice Cream Sandwich – is just days away now. We’ve had a quick go with Android 4.0 on an early version of the Galaxy Nexus and though we didn’t get to play around with all of its features, we were hooked all the same.
The good news is that if you’re not quite in the market for a Galaxy Nexus, Ice Cream Sandwich will be rolling out to other Android phones and tablets in due course.
We’ll be keeping a tally of which phones and tablets will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich and when, updating this database as we go.
Not every manufacturer has announced its Ice Cream intentions just yet so bear with us; we'll keep this page as up to date as we possibly can, as we've done with our Gingerbread pages previously.

HTC
HTC has yet to give us a concrete word on whether its Android big hitters like the Sensation will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich.
All HTC has released so far regarding this is the following statement:
“We are excited about the latest update for Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and are currently reviewing its features and functionality to determine our upgrade plans. Our goal for Android updates is to give every customer an improved user experience, which means balancing each phone's unique hardware, HTC Sense experience and the Android kernel.
while our goal is to upgrade as many of our recent devices as possible, we are committed to maintaining every phone's performance and usability first. please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans.”
So in other words, some phones will be getting it, others not. given the problems that some users experienced when upgrading their HTC Desires to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, HTC will be carefully choosing which phones will be getting Android 4.0 and which ones wont.
However we’ve already heard via Android’s own Hugo Barra, that the HTC-made Google Nexus one won’t be getting an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich due to hardware reasons. that suggests that the Desire won’t either; the specs of the phones are virtually identical.

Motorola
Following in the wake of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus’ big reveal, Motorola surprised everyone by bringing back the Motorola Razr, giving it a modern makeover for the Android generation.
As well as boasting a huge 4.3-inch screen and a super-slim profile (requiring a micro SIM) Motorola has also confirmed that Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming to the Razr in 2012.
So at the moment, our Motorola Ice Cream Sandwich timetable looks like this:
Motorola Razr – confirmed to be getting Ice Cream Sandwich, coming in early 2012.
Motorola Xoom 2 - Ice Cream Sandwich confirmed; dates to be announced in six week’s time.
Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition – ditto, dates for Ice Cream Sandwich coming in six weeks.

Motorola Defy+ – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.

Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson had previously announced a comprehensive rollout of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread for all of its Xperia phones released this year.
Regarding Ice Cream Sandwich, the official line so far is: "when it comes to future platforms of the Android OS, we will make them available to consumers in a timely manner, as long as they improve the user experience and are viable from a hardware point of view."
So it's expected that higher-end phones like the Xperia Arc S could be getting it with lower-specced ones like the Mini and Mini Pro maybe not; Sony Ericcson hasn't confirmed which phones (if any) will get Ice Cream Sandwich.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.
Not forgetting the rumour mill, there’s also the fabled Xperia Arc HD, rumoured to have a Galaxy Nexus-aping 720p screen and coming with Ice Cream Sandwich, natch.
Update: this section was edited from the original to include comment from Sony Ericsson and clarify ICS availability.

LG
Given that LG had dragged its heels with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and had previously announced that the LG Optimus 2X wouldn’t be getting Ice Cream Sandwich, there was much confusion when it turned out that, actually, the 2X is getting Ice Cream Sandwich. Confused? you bet we were… no idea when it’ll heading over to LG’s dual-core debut yet though.
LG Optimus 2X – Ice Cream Sandwich confirmed, no ETA yet.
LG Optimus 3D – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.
LG Optimus Black – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.
LG Optimus Pad – no confirmation of Ice Cream Sandwich yet.
LG Optimus LTE – not even confirmed for the UK yet (and will probably be released under a different name/without LTE), so no idea if it will ship with ICS or will upgrade from Gingerbread.
Obviously this list is incomplete – we’ll be keeping it updated with information on all Ice Cream Sandwich-related news as and when we hear it.
